An Expatriate (Expat) is a person temporarily or permanently living in a country other than their native country.
“Common problems Expats face are loneliness, cultural differences, sorting out health care, cost of living, finding proper schools for children, learning the language and relationship problems.”
Moving to another country can be both exciting and terrifying. Settling into a new place and culture comes with its challenges. Finding the support we need isn’t always easy and there can be barriers to the type of support we can access.
I offer online face to face Skype sessions where I can offer therapeutic support to those who are struggling abroad. Sessions can be flexible to accommodate time differences and block payment concession offers are available.
It’s understandable that when everything is new and different we can need some time and encouragement to help us adjust. No one should have to struggle alone. Give yourself the time and help you need to adapt to your new life by reaching out for that support.
